The BaTonga tribe in Zambia and Zimbabwe are very closely related due to the fact that the two countries used to be one known as Rhodesia. These baskets are made in the Munyumbwe area of Zambia. The BaTonga tribe's baskets are always very sturdy and strong due to the double walled weaving style the locals in this region have created.
These baskets are also still used in their traditional purpose of carrying harvested grains back from the fields for families to prepare.
Hand-crafted in rural Zambia from dried palm leaves, this statement basket is a perfect centerpiece to your wall basket collection or as a tabletop accent.
Please note that, due to the handmade nature no two of these distinctive baskets will ever be exactly the same and there may be slight variations in size and design.

In-stock items ship within 2-4 working days.
In the event that an item is out of stock the lead time for dispatch will then be between 1 - 3 weeks - you will be notified within 24hrs via email if this is the case.
South Africa - The Courier Guy 2 -3 days for delivery from dispatch date.
International orders are dispatched with Fedex and EMS courier. You will be able to select the choice of shipper in the check out cart.
Fedex delivery is 7-9 working days, EMS is currently 25-35 working days.
These shipping times are an approximation and can vary.

If for any reason you are unhappy, you may return your item at your expense for a full refund within 7 days of receipt. All returns must be shipped back to us, and we must receive them in as-new condition.
