Tonga Nonga Ubuhle (Beauty) Basket
The BaTonga tribe from Zimbabwe have been making baskets from the Ilala Palm leaves for centuries and are very well known for their weaving skills.
We have taken these baskets into our studio in Cape Town and have painstakingly adorned them with beautiful glass beads. It is a long process of picking individual beads onto cotton thread, then attaching strands of beads onto wire and then using a technique to attach to the baskets.

Made in Zimbabwe and Cape Town
In-stock items ship within 2-4 working days.
In the event that an item is out of stock the lead time for dispatch will then be between 1 - 3 weeks - you will be notified within 24hrs via email if this is the case.
South Africa - The Courier Guy 2 -3 days for delivery from dispatch date.
International orders are dispatched with Fedex and EMS courier. You will be able to select the choice of shipper in the check out cart.
Fedex delivery is 7-9 working days, EMS is currently 25-35 working days.
These shipping times are an approximation and can vary.
